PIFA Colaba FC returned back to winning ways as they scored a 2-0 victory against Mumbai FC Under-19 in an Elite Division match of the Mumbai District Football Association league at the Poinsur Gymkhana ground, Kandivali, on Wednesday.

The Colaba outfit, who had won their opening match defeating Kenkre FC 1-0 back in October, lost the next three games before they finally managed a win today against a young and inexperienced Mumbai FC colts, the whipping boys of the league.

PIFA, who were recently playing in the second division of the I-League, got off to a solid start as Sushil Tawde opened the scoring in the very third minute before their foreign recruit George Udu doubled the lead 10 minutes later.

Having gained a commanding 2-0 lead, PIFA relaxed the pace and let their rivals off the hook as they did not add more goals to their tally.

This was the sixth consecutive defeat for Mumbai FC, who has so far not been able to match their more experienced opponents in the big league.

Earlier, Central Bank of India and Central Railway, Mumbai Division shared honours in a high-scoring 3-3 draw in a Super Division match.

For Central Bank, Ashley Dias netted a brace and Melwyn Vaz got one, while the railmen scored a goal each through Kadam Dansingh, Asif Jamal and Amir Ansari.
