The wrestler Sagar Dhankar was brutally beaten to death by Sushil Kumar and many other wrestlers in the parking area of Delhi's Chhatrasal Stadium.
Delhi Police has been cross-questioning Sushil Kumar and his accomplices since the time the two-time Olympic medallist was arrested in the junior wrestler Sagar Dhankar murder case. The six wrestlers were involved in a brawl in the parking area of Delhi's Chhatrasal Stadium on May 4.
But what's the reality behind the murder? When Zee News investigated in the depth, it came to light that the murder was a result of revenge and not out of anger. On the same day, the dreaded gangster Kala Jathedi's nephew, Sonu, Ravindra and few others had a fight with Sushil Kumar in regard to a flat in Delhi's Model Town area. They held Sushil's collar as they got dominant and even ran him away after threatening him.
This didn't help Sushil's temper and his anger meant that he wanted revenge on the same day and took the help of Neeraj Bawana and some men from the Asaudha village. In a few hours, some men from Haryana were in Delhi and along with Sonu, they beat up him and his men.
During the brawl, Sagar Dhankar got seriously injured and was declared dead after he was admitted to the hospital.
According to Delhi Police, when Sushil had arrived at the Chhatrasal Stadium, there weren't many people alongside him. However, soon he had an argument with Sonu, Sagar, Amit, Bhaktu, Ravindra and Vikas and was insulted and he decided to avenge at the very moment.
After which, a few miscreants arrived from Haryana after Sushil's phone call. First, they gathered at some other place, they drank had some food and then in 5-6 cars arrived at Ravindra's house in Shalimar Bagh. Ravindra and Vikas then picked them in their cars and reached Model Town at Sonu's flat. Then all of them at around 1 AM arrived at the Stadium.
Then Sushil and his men beat up the six wrestlers using sticks, hockey sticks, etc. after which Sagar Dhankar was admitted in the Jagjeevan Ram hospital and was taken into the trauma centre and but he couldn't survive.
