'Anupamaa' fame Tassnim Sheikh aka Rakhi Dave is a diva in real life, check out her glam photos

Tassnim Sheikh (Tasneem Nerurkar) has been working in the television industry for over 2 decades. She was first noticed for her role as Jyoti Deshmukh in the hit serial 'Kkusum'. Tassnim later appeared in several shows including 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay', 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi', 'Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil', 'Dastaan-E-Mohabbat Salim Anarkali' to name a few. Currently, she is seen essaying the role of Rakhi Dave in the breakthrough series 'Anupamaa'. 

Talking about her character on the show and the overwhelming response to it, Tassnim told Pinkvilla in an interview earlier this year, "I would say Rakhi Dave is a complete package, she is like a culmination of all the spices. She is spicy, sour and overall entertaining. Rakhi is a mirchi and you can only expect explosive stuff from her which will be presented in a unique Rakhi Dave way. I am thankful to my fans for showering me with so much love and affection." She added, "In the past, I have done grey shades and also got love from my audience but this time the love of the audience for Rakhi Dave is on another level. The audience is the one who makes us."

For the unversed, Tassnim Sheikh, 40, is a fitness enthusiast. She often shares photos and videos from her workout sessions on Instagram.

In 2006, Tassnim Sheikh married a merchant navy personnel, Sameer Nerurkar. The couple has a daughter, Tia Nerurkarr. "My family is my strength and wind beneath my wings, their love and support keeps me going and growing always," Tassnim had told Pinkvilla.

In April, Tassnim Sheikh had tested positive for COVID. However, after she recovered, she had opened up about how she dealt with the tough phase. She had told ETimes, "It all started with slight fever on the set. I was shooting a scene when suddenly everything blurred in front of my eyes. I then got myself tested and the reports came out to be positive." "I was quick to lock myself in a room, because I have my 75-year-old father and 12-year-old daughter living with me, while my husband was on the ship. That decision to lock myself in a room on time saved my family," she added. Tassnim also thanked her neighbour for being an angel to her in the tough times. She had told Pinkvilla in an interview that the virus was an "eye-opener".
