The newest Shark of the Shark Tank India Season 3 is finally revealed, and netizens have reacted to the addition of OYO Rooms' founder and CEO Ritesh Agarwal's addition to the show.
The newest Shark for the third season of the business reality television series Shark Tank India is finally revealed. This time, Anupam Mittal, Aman Gupta, Namita Thapar, Vineeta Singh and Amit Jain will be accompanied by Ritesh Agarwal. Sony Television announced the latest addition to Shark Tank India on their social media, and the introduction video of Ritesh went viral.
SET India uploaded a video of the Sharks, sitting on their chairs, turning around and introducing the newest Shark of the third season. The channel uploaded the video with the caption, "Shark Reveal! Who is Ritesh Agarwal?
Born in the Marwari family, the 29-year-old Ritesh Agarwal is the founder and CEO of OYO Rooms. Ritesh started his entrepreneurial journey by starting a budget accommodation portal, Oravel Stays, for booking budget hotels. Later, the Stays was accepted into the accelerator program by Venture Nursery in September 2012. After being one of the winners of the 2013 Thiel Fellowship program, Ritesh received a grant of $100,000. In May 2013, Ritesh launched a company, named OYO Rooms.
As per media reports, OYO Rooms raised $1 billion by September 2018. In July 2019, it was reported that Agarwal purchased $2 billion in shares of the company. According to Hurun Rich List 2020, Ritesh's estimated net worth is approximately $1.1 billion (₹7253 crore). On the personal front, Ritesh tied the knot with Geetansha Sood, the director of Formation Ventures Private Ltd in March 2023.
