Desi version of Instagram’s new ‘Touch it’ trend goes viral - WATCH

Instagram has become one of the most major social media spaces in the entire world. The video-sharing platform has become a must-have for youngsters, who majorly consume content through social media and streaming applications only.

There is usually a new Instagram trend doing rounds on social media every few days, with a famous song with catchy lyrics teamed with upbeat dance moves. One such trend has been going viral on Instagram, called the ‘Touch it’ trend.

In the ‘Touch it’ trend, people usually put a finger on their lips and bend over before showing off their dance moves, following the lyrics of the song Touch It by KiDi, which say “Shut up and bend over.” In an Instagram real uploaded a few days back, this trend took a desi turn.

In a video uploaded by Instagram user Ankita Mhatre, the ‘Touch it’ trend went in a desi and sanskari direction. The reel which featured Ankita’s grandparents and other elders of the family left the netizens in splits with its relatable content and witty concept.

In the reel, Mhatre’s family, only the elders including parents and grandparents, are seen lined up while the song ‘Touch it’ plays in the background. They are seen putting a desi twist on the Western trend, by asking the children to touch their feet, going in sync with the lyrics.

During the catchphrase of the trend, the youngsters of the family are seen bending and touching the feet of their elders, making the trend sanskari and desi. Mhatre uploaded the video on Instagram a week back, with the caption, “Bend it like Mhatre’s. Following the trend.”

Since the reel was uploaded on Instagram, it has received praise from all over the country, with comments appreciating the accuracy and hilarity of the content. It has gathered nearly 2.5 million views till now, with around 2.6 lakh likes on the video.
