Due to the pre-wedding celebrations of businessmen Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, every other prospective bride is obsessed with social media for style ideas. When filmmaker-stylist Rhea Kapoor posted images of the dulhan's canary yellow embroidered lehenga by designer Anamika Khanna on Tuesday, people took notice of Merchant's haldi ensemble. With a traditional floral jewellery set that included a necklace, earrings, kaleeras, and haathphool, the merchant enhanced her appearance. However, the distinctive phool dupatta adorned with actual flowers was the star of the show.

Srishti Calcuttawala, a Mumbai native who designed the dupatta for Merchant, reported that she was "bombarded with messages and calls" from prospective brides as soon as the ensemble went viral on social media. The artist notes that while some people have been requesting the exact same dupatta, others have wanted it customised to fit their tastes.
 
She created a fragrant and new jasmine bud jaal dupatta for Merchant, adorned with roughly two kilogrammes of yellow marigold, or genda phool. According to Calcuttawala, she was given only one day's notice to design the dupatta. She continues, "It took five karigars roughly six-seven hours to make it." The merchant used roughly 2kg of genda phool (marigold) and tagar kali (jasmine buds) to make her floral dupatta. Such dupattas are priced starting at ₹15,000. Her floral jewellery set, which included kaleeras, haathphool, and floral earrings with earchains, cost about ₹27,000 in addition to the dupatta.
