However, today we will introduce you to 6 women who are as dangerous and feared as any man. These women often tend to run their operations from behind closed doors but they are doubly effective and have a reign of terror.

Abedo, a mother of nine, began fighting in the late '70s when the Soviet Union tried to take Afghanistan. She kept the fight going even after her husband was killed. Although Abedo looked innocent, she was a force to be reckoned with that even the brutal mujahedin flinched in her nearness.

Keith Melton, if Anna was given six more months to carry out her mission, she would have become the "most dangerous spy in American history". Anna was arrested along with 9 other spies whose job was to get inside the upper-class American institutions and share that information with 'Moscow Center'.

Colonel Fanette Umuraza is number two of the Congolese Revolutionary Army. She belongs to a group that also calls itself M23 and Umuraza has various hands in the war crimes. The crime includes something as heinous as rape, murder, and the forced recruitment of children.

Enedina Arellano Felix became the prime boss of the Tijuana Cartel in 2008. The DEA later declared her as the world's first female crime lord. Under Enedina Arellano Felix and her son Fernando Sanchez Arellano, the cartel focuses more on kidnapping than murder.

From 1993 to 2001, Maria Licciardi ran the Camorra crime syndicate in Naples. When she was in hiding, Licciardi still ordered murders and also bombed a prosecutor's office. Maria Licciardi was later captured in 2001 but she still leads the Camorra crime syndicate.

Samantha Lewthwaite who is also known as The White Widow was born in Northern Ireland and raised outside of London. She is wanted for planning a bomb attack in a Kenyan resort in the year 2011. BBC journalists have termed her as a 'mythological figure'. Lewthwaite is now reportedly warranting that her children carry on her legacy of terror.
