Considered to be the largest and grandest hotel in Cornwall, Tregenna Castle Resort will be hosting US President Joe Biden and other G7 leaders. The castle has a huge space and consists of 98 rooms and 55 apartments. Reports state that President Biden will be staying in his own "West Wing".
2.Tregenna Castle Resort and its royal ground
The isolated 72-acre grounds possess natural woodlands, lawns, and an 18-hole golf course for leaders to enjoy some free time. The castle also has all-weather tennis courts and a fitness suite.
3.What is so special about Tregenna Castle Resort?
According to a report in the Daily Mail, the castle was first built in 1774 by local landowner Samuel Stephens. At the time, the castle was a 12-bedroom private home for the wealthy Cornishman who adored the sea and was named after the hill in St Ives on which it was built upon. The castle has been a hotel for more than 100 years.
4.Tregenna Castle Resort and its famed guests
Tregenna Castle Resort is a popular wedding location as well. As you are aware, President Biden is all set to stay in the "West Wing" popularly known as the West Wing Sea View rooms because they lookout over St Ives in Cornwall. As for famed guests, according to a report in The Sun, Hitler's Ambassador Herr Von Ribbentrop was also a guest in the hotel once. More recent guests include the late Prince Philip and David Bowie.

Tregenna Castle Resort also has a lavish indoor and outdoor pool which the guests can enjoy during their stay. In preparation for the G7 summit, the security detail around the castle has been increased for the leaders' stay. A giant fence has been erected, along with police patrolling with sniffer dogs, and extra lighting.
