A man who was apparently verbally abused by John Galliano has come to the defence of the disgraced designer.
Philippe Virgitti, who filed a police complaint along with driend Geraldine Bloch, has dismissed the matter as a 'simple bar dispute' which shouldn't impair the couturier's career.
Galliano was dismissed as creative director for couture house Christian Dior following allegations he hurled anti-Semitic abuse at Virgitti and Bloch during a night out in Paris, France last month (Feb11).
"For me it was a simple bar dispute. John Galliano does not deserve this. I do not want him to be destroyed like this," Contactmusic quoted Virgitti as saying.
"I would like Mr Galliano to benefit from this unhappy story by drinking a little less and getting back to making the dresses and shows that he did so well," Virgitti added.
