Countdown to Amitabh Bachchan Birthday: 5 upcoming projects of 'Shahenshah of Bollywood'

Tera Yaar Hoon Main is an upcoming bilingual film starring Amitabh Bachchan, Ramya Krishnan, and SJ Suryah. The film will be a T-Series and Purple bull productions venture, directed by T Tamilvanan. The movie was being shot at Mumbai film City before a nationwide lockdown got announced in March. 

Amitabh Bachchan is all set to be seen playing the role of a football coach in Nagraj Manjule's upcoming directorial titled Jhund. The megastar has been shooting for the film since 2019. This film marks the Hindi directorial debut of Nagraj who is remembered for helming blockbuster Sairat in the year 2016. Jhund is touted to be a biopic on football coach Vijay Barse, who founded an NGO, Slum Soccers, which helps slum kids learn the sport.

Brahmastra is an action thriller superhero movie. Directed by Ayan Mukherjee under Dharma Productions, the film is a Trilogy and will be presented in three parts. Part one is said to be wrapped up and stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles.

Vyjayanthi Movies, the makers of much-awaited Deepika Padukone and Prabhas starrer 'Prabhas 21' on Friday announced the inclusion of megastar Amitabh Bachchan. Prabhas 21 is said to be a futuristic sci-fi thriller set against the backdrop of an imaginary World War 3. To be shot in Telugu and dubbed into other regional and international languages, the film is expected to go on floors this November.

Directed by Rumi Jaffery, Chehre also stars Emraan Hashmi, Kriti Kharbanda, and Rhea Chakraborty. Amitabh Bachchan will essay the role of a lawyer in Chehre. He has been seen in the role of a lawyer in films like Pink (2016) and Badla (2019) earlier. On the other hand, Emraan Hashmi has been cast as a business tycoon. The thriller film also stars TV actress Krystle D'Souza and Siddhanth Kapoor.
