Kriti Kharbanda reveals she once found hidden camera in her hotel room: 'It is scary, the kind of stuff...'

Actress Kriti Kharbanda has admitted that she once discovered a concealed camera in her hotel room, which was placed just below the set-top box. In a recent interview, Kriti also disclosed that since then, her staff  often searches hotel rooms for similar items.

In an interview with Hauterrfly, the actress spoke about an incident she faced when she was filming a project in Kannada. “There was this one incident that I remember when I was shooting for one of my Kannada films. This boy, who used to work at the hotel. He actually left a camera in my room. My staff and me, we have this habit of checking around to make sure nothing is popping out from anywhere. He was obviously not a pro because it was kept so badly. I could see it, he had kept it behind the set-top box. It is scary, the kind of stuff you have to be careful about. Not flowery at all.” she explained. 

Kriti also recounted the time when a man had squeezed her so hard that she had a blood clot after she called him out for touching her improperly while they were having their photo taken. “It is very disturbing, but it happens and happens many times. And he ran (after the pinch), I did not know how to react. I was in shock, I was taken aback,” she said. 

These instances are not uncommon for celebrities and many have spoken against this violation of privacy. In a previous interview with the ETimes, Dia Mirza talked openly about adopting security measures before entering hotels. The actor had started being more cautious when she saw videos of actresses bathing circulating online. When a video from her husband Virat Kohli's hotel room in Australia was posted online, Anushka Sharma also expressed her outrage. 

Kriti was last seen on screen in the 2021 film 14 Phere, which also starred Vikrant Massey.
