Athletic Simrat Kaur's dream of being a sportsperson
Born and brought up in Mumbai, Simrat Kaur Randhawa was a studious student who graduated in Computer Science Engineering from KC College. Simrat never imagined that she would become an actress, nor did she aspire to join the film industry. Simrat wanted to become a sportsperson and was inclined to make her career in athletics. Simrat dreamt about representing India in the Olympics or Asian Games.
Simrat's parents persuade her to try her luck in films
Simrat revealed that her parents encouraged her to try her luck in films, and that's how she started her journey as a model and got to feature in a Cadbury ad in 2017. After that, Simrat got her first Telugu movie, Prematho Mee Karthik (2017). After her impressive debut, Simrat featured in other Telugu films such as Parichayam, Dirty Hari, and Bangarraju.
When Simrat decided to give up on films
Simrat diverted her focus from Telugu to Hindi films, and she started giving auditions in Mumbai. After months of trying hard, Simrat was on the verge of giving up films. The actress had no filmy background and had neither done formal training. So, Simrat lost her confidence and was about to give up. However, her mother kept her pushing and encouraged her to keep moving forward. After giving numerous random auditions, Simrat landed in Mukesh Chhabra's office, and she shot an introduction video there.
Simrat beat more than 600 girls for Gadar 2
Mukesh advised her to wait for the right time and the right project. And then, after giving numerous auditions for two months, she got selected for Gadar 2. Simrat got selected for Gadar 2, and she beat more than 600 girls for Anil Sharma's film.
Simrat's first salary...
Simrat is a black belt in Karate, and she used to teach martial arts to students. When Simrat was in 8th grade, she used to take tuition of little kids, and her first salary was Rs 350.
