Rashami Desai, who has been entertaining us with her shows for over two decades, has worked in Assamese, Bhojpuri, and Hindi films and shows. She gained recognition through the TV show Uttaran, in which she played Tapasya.

Despite the success in her professional life, Rashami Desai faced lot of struggles in her personal life. She was married to actor Nandish Sandhu, but their marriage ended in just five years. Following the divorce, Rashmi Desai found herself destitute, burdened with crores of rupees in debt and was forced to live in her car on the streets.

Rashami Desai recently opened up about this painful period of her life on Paras Chhabra's podcast. Rashami Desai became a household name due to the show Uttaran, where she met Nandish Sandhu on the set. After dating for a few years, they got married in 2011. However, their relationship ended just five years later.

Rashami Desai revealed that her life changed drastically after marrying Nandish Sandhu. The relationship between her and Nandish began to deteriorate, and at the same time, she found herself burdened with debt. Rashami shared that she was drowning in a debt of 3.25 crores. She had bought a house with a loan of 2.5 crores, and ultimately, she lost everything.

The actress mentioned that she lived in her car during that time as she had no home. She sent her luggage to her manager's house.

When she gained

She explained that the psoriasis led to significant weight gain and hair loss. The increased weight affected her appearance, and she faced a lot of negative comments and criticism. At one point, she felt that dying would be better than living such a life.

However, Rashami Desai managed to overcome all these challenges and is now leading a better life, having emerged stronger from her struggles.
