Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor have been close buddies as the two actresses have travelled together to Kedarnath, Goa, and Los Angeles. The two of them also appeared on the second episode of the seventh season of Koffee With Karan last year and talked about their relationship with each other.
However, it seems that all is not well between Sara and Janhvi. The Gaslight actress shared a photo of books on her Instagram Stories on Monday, August 28, and added the caption which said, "Read more books". Some of the books which can be seen in the photo included The Power of you Subconscious Mind, Shiva Sutras, India Since Independence, and The Forty Rules of Love.
However, the presence of one book titled Auschwitz - A History is making Redditors wonder if Sara is actually taking a sly dig at Janhvi Kapoor with her post. The screenshot of Sara's IG Story was shared on the popular subreddit BollyBlindsNGossip with the caption, "Was this a sly dig at Janhvi".
Netizens are assuming such as Janhvi was most recently seen in Bawaal, and the film was called out 'insensitive' and 'tone-deaf' for its references to Adolf Hitler and the Holocaust. One of the dialogues said by Janhvi's character in the film, "Every relationship has its Auschwitz", was also heavily criticised.
When a Reddit user mentioned that the presence of the Auschwitz book in Sara's collection could just be a coincidence, another user said, "That would be too obvious not only to J but to everyone as well. It'll ruin the PR image they built of being close friends who don't compete", and another added, "Maybe something happened within their close circles. Janhvi may have made a mean remark on Sara and it got back to her and she is retaliating?".

The Roohi actress has recently defended Bawaal in one of her interviews in which she stated that "the heart of the film was in the right place." The film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, also starred Varun Dhawan.
