India's second richest person, Gautam Adani, received a total remuneration of ₹9.26 crore in 2024, lower than his key executives and other industry peers. An annual report of the Adani Group's 10 listed entities showed that the industrialist drew a salary from only two of his 10 companies in the ports-to-energy conglomerate. For the fiscal year 2024 (FY24), Gautam Adani earned 2.46 crore INR at Adani Enterprises, which is a slight increase from the 2.39 crore INR he received in FY23. This reflects his crucial role in overseeing the company's diverse operations, including energy, mining, and infrastructure.

At Adani Ports & SEZ, Gautam Adani’s salary was 1.8 crore INR in FY23. However, in FY24, Karan Adani saw a significant increase in his salary to 6.8 crore INR from 3.9 crore INR in the previous year. This rise highlights the expansion and increased responsibilities within the port and logistics sectors.

Vinay Prakash, CEO of Adani Natural Resources, received a substantial 89.37 crore INR in FY24, up from 52.25 crore INR in FY23. This dramatic increase underscores the performance-based nature of his compensation and his impact on the company’s resource management and mining operations.

In Adani Green Energy, Vneet S. Jaain’s salary was 15.25 crore INR in FY24, a decrease from 20.53 crore INR in FY23. Sagar R. Adani earned 4.40 crore INR, slightly higher than the previous year. These changes reflect the fluctuating dynamics of the renewable energy sector.

Adani Power saw its executive director, S.B. Khyalia, earn 5.63 crore INR in FY24, a notable figure given that no remuneration was reported in FY23, indicating a return to compensation after a period of no payments.

For Adani Wilmar, Angshu Mallick’s remuneration was 5.15 crore INR in FY24, down from 7.78 crore INR in FY23. This decrease follows a one-time IPO incentive in the previous year.

Ambuja Cements experienced a shift in leadership. Neeraj Akhoury earned 22.47 crore INR in FY23 before resigning, with Ajay Kapur, who took over, receiving 9.34 crore INR in FY24.

ACC’s executive director, Ajay Kapur, did not receive any remuneration in FY24, following Sridhar Balakrishnan's total compensation of 22.63 crore INR in FY23.

At NDTV, which was acquired by the Adani Group, Senthil Chengalvarayan earned 2.39 crore INR in FY24. This salary adjustment reflects the recent changes in leadership following the acquisition.

These figures highlight the varied and evolving compensation packages for Gautam Adani and his key executives, reflecting their significant roles and contributions across the Adani Group’s diverse business operations.
