Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his wife and film producer Gauri Khan successfully run multiple businesses together, the most profitable one being their production house Red Chillies Entertainment. However, the power couple also runs a lesser-known business in Dubai.
Shah Rukh Khan, in 2008, had announced a new business venture in Dubai worth billions when he had teamed up with a United Arab Emirates (UAE) based real estate firm to launch a massive project – luxurious residential complex in front of the beach.
Shah Rukh Khan launched the signature beachfront residential project in 2012, and the area was named after him, dubbed as the SRK Boulevard. The developmental project was planned as a tribute to King Khan for all the love his films have gotten in the Middle East.
The SRK Boulevard is located in a posh area in Dubai, on the Dana Islands in Ras Al Khaimah. Shah Rukh Khan’s signature deal came at the same time when big names such as Brad Pitt, Boris Becker and Tiger Woods were also singing similar deals.
The Shah Rukh Khan Boulevard is a group of 10 residential buildings in the posh beachfront area of Dubai, creating a luxurious and high-end community. Shah Rukh Khan’s project in Dubai had a total cost of USD 2.17 million, which comes out to over Rs 18,000 crore.
The Bollywood superstar teamed up with Los Angeles architect Tony Ashai to design the plan of the residential area, while his wife Gauri Khan, who is also a noted interior designer, sketched out the interiors of the buildings and the homes.
Shah Rukh Khan’s Dubai project SRK Boulevard has 10 total buildings which have one and two BHK homes in different varieties. Apart from this, the luxurious homes have beachfront features piers and boardwalks besides marine sports and leisure facilities.
