US stocks opened higher on Friday after a better-than-expected jobs report lifted investor optimism on the economy.                             
 
The Dow Jones industrial average gained 93.55 points, or 0.91%, to 10,413.65. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index rose 10.55 points, or 0.97%, to 1,100.65. The Nasdaq Composite Index climbed 25.77 points, or 1.17%, to 2,225.78.
