IND vs SL, Asia Cup match: Team India is taking on Sri Lanka in a Super 4 contest of Asia Cup 2023 on Tuesday. On Monday night, Rohit Sharma-led squad completed an emphatic win over arch-rivals Pakistan.

However, in today's India vs Sri Lanka match, middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer is not a part of Team India. Iyer had also missed the contest against Pakistan. BCCI said that Shreyas is yet to fully recover from back spasm. He has been advised to rest by the BCCI Medical Team, it said.

"Shreyas Iyer is feeling better but is yet to fully recover from back spasm. He has been adviced rest by the BCCI Medical Team and has not travelled with the team to the stadium today for India's Super 4 match against Sri Lanka," BCCI said in a tweet.

He returned to top-flight cricket after six months following back surgery. Missing back to games has raised fresh questions over his fitness ahead of the World Cup in India next month.
