MS Dhoni celebrates 43rd birthday with Salman Khan, gets video-call surprise from CSK captain

Legendary former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni celebrated his 43rd birthday in the illustrious company of Bollywood icon Salman Khan in Mumbai. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Ruturaj Gaikwad also took a break from his Zimbabwe tour with Team India to extend his birthday wishes to MS Dhoni via a video call.

Dhoni and his wife Sakshi are currently in Mumbai to partake in the Sangeet celebrations of Mukesh Ambani's son Anant Ambani's wedding. A video capturing Dhoni cutting his birthday cake in the early hours of July 7 quickly went viral, with Salman Khan standing proudly alongside Dhoni and Sakshi.

Following the celebration, Salman Khan took to social media to send his heartfelt birthday wishes to the cricketing legend.

"Happy Birthay Kaptaan Sahab (Captain)!" tweeted Salman Khan, with a picture of the two from the birthday celebrations.

Dhoni received a video call from Ruturaj Gaikwad, the player to whom he had passed on the captaincy of the IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings. Mukesh Kumar and Tushar Deshpande, Gaikwad's teammates on the Zimbabwe tour, were also present in the video call. It is worth noting that Deshpande is also a member of the CSK team.

In the video, Dhoni is seen flaunting his fresh new haircut, which was revealed by renowned hairstylist Aalim Hakim just last month.
