World Test Championship: With another victory by an innings and 46 runs over Bangladesh, India move to 360 points

Team India, did it again and got their 7th consecutive victory - their longest streak - against Bangladesh in the historic Day-Night Test match at Eden Gardens.

The Men in Blue won by an innings and 46 runs and are continuing to sit on top of the World Test Championship table with 360 points.

Earlier, in the first Test, India had not stretched the innings and on the third morning, dismantled Bangladesh's batting line-up to register an innings and 130-run win.

For Bangladesh, the only ray of hope was Mushfiqur Rahim again and he was the lone to deliver in the first as well as the second Test match. Skipper Virat Kohli was the man who's 136 got India to a great standing.

Points in the WTC are evenly distributed over the number of matches in a series (two to five), the points varying from 60 for each match of a two-Test series to 24 for each match of a five-Test series.

The ICC World Test Championship has been introduced to add context to the longest format of the game with nine teams featuring in matches which were decided by the Member countries as per their bilateral agreements. Bangladesh and Pakistan are the other teams in the championship.

The top two teams at the end of the league will advance to the final, which will be played in the UK in June 2021 with the winners crowned the World Test Champions.
