According to the police, the deceased, Mohammad Rizwan, received a bullet to the head. He was one of five people to be injured in the clash. The others were identified as Naseem, Mohammad Arif, Waqil Khan and Umar Khan.

“Rizwan was shot on his head and was admitted to the district hospital in Dadri in a critical condition. Later, he was transferred to a Ghaziabad-based private hospital where he died during treatment,” said Krishan Kumar Rana, station house officer of Jarcha Police Station.

The police said that the fight began when one Iliyas fired upon Mohammad Abbas, another resident of the village. This quarrel between them led to a clash between rival groups.
