Haryana schools for classes 6-8 are all set to open soon, keeping in mind the strict Covid-19 norms. Students who are willing to attend physical classes can resume classes starting from Friday (July 23).

However, the online classes will continue and students who want to continue taking them will be allowed to do so. As per the recent orders issued by the government, students attending the physical classes are required to have official consent from their parents. The students will be required to maintain proper social distancing in view of the COVID-19 pandemic in school.

However, schools in Haryana have been reopened for classes 9 to 12 recently, after almost three months of hiatus. However, it is not mandatory for students to come to school as online classes are also continuing. The COVID-19 has resulted in schools shut all across the world.

Haryana government on July 21 has announced to reduce 30 per cent syllabus for secondary and senior secondary classes for the academic session 2021-22, due to the COVID-19-hit session. The decision has been taken as the schools could not open due to COVID-19 and the education was disrupted, said Haryana Board president, Jagbir Singh.

According to an official statement, “Board of School Education, Haryana has decided to reduce 30 per cent syllabus for secondary (class 10) and senior secondary classes (class 12) for the academic session 2021-22.” The new syllabus is available on the official website of the board at bseh.org.in.

Haryana government on Sunday extended COVID lockdown till July 26 with more relaxations. The decision to extend curbs came despite a decline in the Covid-19 positivity rate and the number of new cases, the Haryana government said in its order.

The state government has allowed restaurants and bars to open from 10 am to 11 pm with 50% of the seating capacity from July 19.

However, the night curfew will continue from 11 pm till 5 am on all days of the week. Earlier on July 4, the state government had lifted the curfew on weekends.
