Karisma-Sunjay's divorce battle gets uglier as actress files dowry harassment case

After rounds of allegations and counter allegations, the divorce case of Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur took another unexpected turn when the actress filed an FIR against Sunjay and his mother Rani Sunder Kapur claiming they mentally harassed her from time to time.

According to a report in Mid-Day, Khar police have registered an FIR filed by Karisma in which she alleges that she had been mentally harassed by her estranged husband.

The divorce case got uglier when Karisma withdrew the consent for mutual custody of the kids claiming Sunjay had failed to meet certain financial commitments set in the consent terms.

Sunjay, on the other hand, had claimed that Karisma married him for his money and had failed as a wife, mother, and daughter-in-law.

The next hearing has been scheduled for March 3.

Sunjay has also filed an application at the Supreme Court seeking a transfer of the case to New Delhi on the grounds of threat to his life from underworld don Ravi Pujara, reports Mid-Day.
