Rakul Preet Singh has breathed more life into the film with her role: Karthi on 'Dev'

The press meet of Karthi and Rakul Preet Singh's Dev was held in Chennai on Tuesday evening. The film is now all set to hit the screens worldwide on February 14, on the occasion of Valentine's Day. 

The film is produced by S Lakshman of Prince Pictures and Harris Jayaraj has composed the music. Prakash Raj, Ramya Krishnan, RJ Vignesh, Amrutha and many other prominent actors are a part of this film.

Speaking at the event, actor Karthi said, “Producer Lakshman and I have been childhood friends, and we have always been together from our early stages of lives. I have always wondered how a person can be so much genuine and honest. When he decided to venture into production, I was so happy and confident. I am very emotionally excited as we are doing a film together.” 

Speaking about Dev, Karthi further added, “This is a love story, but it isn’t about romance. It is a film that speaks about loving everything around you. Live the moment, love and do what your heart says, is what Dev is all about. Rajath Ravishankar is really a talented filmmaker and being first-timer, he has extracted unbelievable work from all of us. I always keep telling him that he should continue to make more movies. Rakul Preet Singh has been a great performer, and she has really breathed more life into this character."

Actress Rakul Preet Singh said, “When I worked with Karthi in Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, I used to tell him that I wanted to work in a full-fledged romantic film. This was when he asked me to listen to a script, and I was so obsessed with it after the narration. Rajath Ravishankar has crafted a story that is so colorful with amusing and emotional elements peppered all over the film.”
