One of the most anticipated films since 2020, Marvel's 'Black Widow' starring Scarlett Johansson, released in the USA and several other countries on July 9. The film was simultaneously also dropped on Disney+ under the Premium Access category in select markets.

And while fans were waiting with bated breath across the worldwide to enjoy 'Black Widow' on the big screen, several media reports suggest that the Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh' starrer is the recent target of piracy and has been leaked on various torrent sites.

This comes as a blow to the makers since the film is yet to release in countries where the theatres are shut or only partially open owing to the pandemic and the Disney+ Premium Access option isn't available, such as in India, where the movie is expected to release on Disney+Hotstar on October 8, in line its general availability on Disney+. The date is subjected to change given the COVID-19 situation.

Reportedly, Black Widow has been leaked on torrent sites such as Filmywap, Fmovies, Onlinemoviewatches, 123movies, 123movierulz, Filmyzilla and other networks including Telegram that enable piracy in multiple resolutions and file sizes, for free watching and download. Reports also suggest that most copies of the film available online are genuine and of good video quality, mostly in HD prints, since the film was dropped directly online on Disney+ Premium Access in select markets. 'Black Widow' is available in full-HD 1080p and 4K 2160p resolution with support for Dolby Atmos audio.

However, this is not the first film that has been leaked online. Earlier several films including 'King Kon vs Godzilla', 'Mumbai Saaga', 'Jathi Ratnalu', 'Sreekaram', 'The Priest', 'Roohi', 'Bombay Begums', 'Lahore Confidential', 'Pudhu Kaalai', 'Sufiyum Sujatayum', 'AK vs AK', 'Laxmii', 'Hundred', 'Extraction', 'The Lion King', 'Frozen 2' among others became the target of the piracy sites.
