To keep the issue of Ram Mandir burning, BJP MP and RSS ideologue Rakesh Sinha on Thursday dared Opposition leaders to tell their views on the private Bill that he wants to bring in the Parliament seeking construction of a Ram temple on the disputed site in Ayodhya.

In a series of tweets, Sinha asked — Will Rahul Gandhi, Sitaram Yechury, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Mayawati support his private member's Bill on Ayodhya? He even offered to visit their residence to get their opinion.

"Will write Preface (introduction) of my private member bill on Ram temple in Ayodhya.request (those who ask dates) 2send me feedback.if @RahulGandhi @laluprasadrjd @yadavakhilesh Mayawati ji @ncbn ask me to visit their residences I would go to know their valuable opinion," said Sinha.

Early this week, the Supreme Court had adjourned the hearing of Ram Janambhoomi- Babri Masjid title suit till the first week of January sparking angry reactions from the saffron camp and demand to bring an Ordinance.

Sidestepping the apex court's view of treating the case as not so urgent, Sinha asserted that the view of the RSS and the BJP remains unchanged that the entire disputed land belongs to Ram Lalla.

Making little of Sinha's overtures, National Conference president Farooq Abdullah said the BJP thinks Lord Ram will help it win next year's general elections, but God will not help them win the elections.

"They (BJP) think that Lord Ram will win them the 2019 elections. The God will not help them win the elections, it is the people who will vote, neither Lord Ram nor Allah will vote," said Abdullah.

‘BILL OR ORDINANCE UNCONSTITUTIONAL’

New Delhi: Amid a clamour within the BJP for bringing a legislation for early construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, Congress leader P Chidambaram on Thursday said any ordinance by the government or a bill passed in Parliament will be unconstitutional when the matter is sub-judice. Bringing an ordinance or law pending an appeal in the Supreme Court will be an “adventurist action”. “In my view, to bring an ordinance would be unconstitutional,” he said.
