Anuradha Rani, a SpiceJet security staff member, was arrested after allegedly slapping CISF Assistant Sub-Inspector Giriraj Prasad during a security dispute at Jaipur airport. The incident, captured on CCTV, occurred around 4 am when Rani was stopped for trying to use the vehicle gate without proper authorization.

A video clip shows the CISF officer speaking to Rani, who suddenly moves forward and slaps him. A woman constable then intervenes and takes her aside.

Rani has been charged under relevant legal sections and is under investigation. SpiceJet has defended her, alleging she acted in response to sexual harassment. The police initially described Rani as a food supervisor, but the airline clarified she was a female security staff member.

According to a SpiceJet spokesperson, Rani had a valid airport entry pass and was subjected to inappropriate language and an unwelcome advance by the CISF officer. The airline claimed the officer asked Rani to meet him after his duty hours at his home.

SpiceJet has initiated legal action against the CISF personnel, accusing them of sexual harassment. The airline stated, "Our female security staff member, who had a valid airport entry pass issued by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), was subjected to inappropriate and unacceptable language by the CISF personnel." The airline expressed full support for Rani, pledging to provide her with complete backing.

According to the CISF complaint, the altercation began when Rani, along with other staff, attempted to enter through the vehicle gate. ASI Prasad stopped her, claiming she lacked valid permission for that gate. She was directed to another entrance for airline crew, but no female CISF personnel were available for screening. The ASI then called a female colleague, but the argument escalated, leading to Rani slapping him.

Jaipur airport SHO Ram Lal confirmed the escalation and Rani's arrest. While the police have registered an assault case against her, SpiceJet has also approached local authorities, seeking legal action against the CISF personnel for alleged sexual harassment.
