The Uttar Pradesh Estate department is likely to issue fresh notices to two former Chief Ministers, Mayawati and ND Tiwari, if they did not vacate their government bungalows after the 15-day deadline, which ends on Saturday night.

Although Mayawati has shifted to her new house at 9 Mall Avenue, she is yet to handover possession of 13-A Mall Avenue residence, which was officially allotted to her when she was the Chief Minister, to the Estate department. Instead, she had handed over keys of 6, Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg bungalow to the Estate department saying that it was allotted to her as ex CM.

But the Estate department refused to entertain her plea. “In our records, she was allotted 13-A Mall Avenue bungalow as the former CM. We will issue a fresh notice to comply with the Supreme Court order to get 13-A Mall Avenue vacated,” said Yogesh Shukla, Estate Officer.

Adamant to keep 13-Mall Avenue at any cost, a board ‘Manyawar Kasnshi Ram Yaadgar Vishram Sthal’ was put at the gate of the palatial house with an intention to keep her possession on the house. Over Rs 80 crore was spent on the renovation and interiors of the house.

The Supreme Court had passed the order on May 7 and the two-month deadline to get government bungalows vacated from ex CMs ends July 6. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh have already vacated their 4, Kalidas Marg and 3-Mall Avenue bungalows.

The Estate department has ordered a probe as to how Mayawati was allotted two government accommodations as ex-CMs. Initial probe suggested that she was fraudulently allotted 6-Lal Bahadur Shahsti Marg residence on December 23 2011 through a fake dispatch number 7183/32-2-2011-10/2008. Rekha, an employee of the department was allotted a house through this dispatch number.

“We are shocked on this fake allotment. Action will be initiated against those responsible for the fraudulent allotment of Shashtri Marg bungalow to Mayawati seven years ago,” said another official of the Estate department.

The former Chief Minister ND Tiwari will also be issued fresh notice to vacate his 1-A Mall Avenue government accommodation. Tiwari is admitted in a Delhi hospital for the past few months and his son has sought more time for vacating the house.

Meanwhile, the Samajwadi Party Chief and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has finally vacated his 4-Vikramaditya Marg residence on Saturday afternoon and shifted to VVIP Guest House along with his family. His father and ex-CM Mulayam Singh Yadav has already vacated his 5, Vikramaditya Marg bungalow on Friday and he also shifted to the VVIP Guest house. Four suites have been booked in the name of Yadavs at the Guest House.

Mulayam, his sons Akhilesh and Prateek have bought luxury villas in Ansal API City on Sultanpur Road to shift there after being rendered homeless by the apex court order dated May 7. Mulayam has bought C-3 12-A double-story Villa while his son Prateek Yadav will live separately in C-3 278 Villa in close vicinity. Both the properties are worth Rs 5 crore.

Akhilesh Yadav has bought two corner houses 90 and 91 in Pocket C-2. Renovation is in full swing in all new houses of the Yadav family. Many green trees were cut from security point of view and gates have been erected on roads leading to their Villas. Temporary structures have been constructed at their houses for commandos manning their Z Plus security.

The Yadavs plan to shift in their new Villas on June 4, depending upon completion of finishing work and interiors. Half of their luggage has already been shifted in their new houses and another half has been kept at Sahara Shahar and Lohia Trust. The Sahara Group Chairman Subrata Roy Sahara had offered Yadavs to stay at Sahara Sahar.
