MS Dhoni is the owner of numerous allocates to his name and on Monday (October 19) he added yet another one to his long list of feats during Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) IPL 2020 clash against Rajasthan Royals. During the much-anticipated clash, Dhoni made his 200th appearance in the tournament.

What makes this feat more eye-catching is that the CSK skipper also became the first-ever player to play 200 matches in the history of IPL.

Since the inaugural season of IPL, back in 2008, MS Dhoni has been captaining the Chennai-franchise and has been an ever-present character in the history of the tournament.

During CSK's two-year ban period over the match-fixing controversy, the veteran wicketkeeper-batsman represented Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) in the 2016 and 2017 season.

So far, 'Mahi' has scored 4568 runs in the tournament, out of which 3994 runs are for his dear CSK! The former Team India skipper has also successfully guided his Chennai side to three IPL title wins in 2010, 2011 and in 2018.

Under MS Dhoni's captaincy, CSK became IPL's second most successful franchise - only behind Rohit Sharma's Mumbai Indians who have won the tournament four times so far.

However, CSK have struggled to find their old form during the IPL 2020 after key players in Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh opted out due to "personal reasons".

Going into tonight's clash against RR, Dhoni's side is sitting second bottom and have won just three of their opening nine matches of the tournament while losing six of them.

The last time CSK played RR, Steve Smith's Pink army outclassed Dhoni's bowling unit and cruised to a 16-run win in Sharjah back on September 22.
