From Panchayat and The Kota Factory-fame Jitendra Kumar to Dangal and Chhichhore director Nitesh Tiwari, there are multiple celebrities in the Hindi entertainment industry that have graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). Another addition to this list is Amol Parashar, who has impressed the audiences with his impactful performance in multiple films and series.

Born on September 17, 1986 in Delhi, Amol studied mechanical engineering at IIT Delhi. He quit his high-paying job at ZS Associated to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. Amol made his acting debut in the 2009 critically-acclaimed film Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year, which was headlined by Ranbir Kapoor.

He then starred in a few films such as Babloo Happy Hai and Traffic among others, but he became famous after he played the leading role of Chitvan in the web series TVF Tripling in 2016. The actor also appeared in the show's second and third seasons, that came out in 2019 and 2022. Amol has since then become an OTT star with his brilliant performances in other web series like A Viral Wedding, Parchhayee, Home, and Gabru: Hip Hop Ke Shehzaade among others.

Amol's most famous role in Hindi films came in the 2021 film Sardar Udham, in which he portrayed the Indian freedom fighter Bhagat Singh. Earlier, Ajay Devgn and Bobby Deol have played Bhagat Singh in the films The Legend of Bhagat Singh and 23 March 1931: Shaheed, respectively.
