Jermaine Jackson, older brother of the late pop star Michael Jackson, is visiting Mumbai on October 2 with a two-pronged agenda. He will visit the only Indian city where his brother performed, back in 1996, and interact with as many Michael's fans as possible.

During his ten-day visit, he is also planning to record a song with singer-composer AdnanSami for an album produced by T-series.

Jermaine has made arrangements for a big interaction with as many Michael-fans as possible; the logistical aspects of which are being finalised. T-series will be hosting him in India and also scheduling his tour. “Jermaine Jackson wants to connect with all the fans of Michael Jackson in India,” said Bhushan Kumar, the head of T-Series.

“Both Jermaine and Adnan had wanted to collaborate for a long time. We could have recorded the song and shot the video abroad, but he was very keen on visiting India. He is very excited about the country and he knows that Michael was hugely popular here. It is also an emotional journey for him,” says Kumar.

A source close to the development revealed further details about Jermaine’s tour. “He would be staying in India for ten days. During his stay he would be recording for the song and will also shoot a concept video for the same. Jermaine will also be addressing Michael Jackson-fans in India in an event, which is being planned. The event will be announced later. He wants to visit as many fans as possible but as we know there are hundreds and thousands of Michael-fans in the country. It is a nostalgic visit for Jermaine as he wants to know how much India loves Michael and feels for him.”

Jermaine will also be visiting the Taj

Mahal as a part of his itinerary. “He has heard so much about the historical monument that he wants to see it up close and personal. The Taj visit is also being figured out,” said the insider.

Jermaine was the original lead singer of the Jackson Brothers, an earlier incarnation of The Jackson Five, until 1968, till  younger brother Michael began assisting with lead vocals.
