Aussie speedster Brett Lee is not going to let go of speed any time soon and says he would focus on swing bowling only as a last resort. Here with the New South Wales (NSW) Blues for the Champions League Twenty20, the right-arm pacer is looking forward to a challenging few weeks that include a one-day series against India.

“If you expect me to bowl out-swingers at 130 kph, sorry that’s not gonna happen. I enjoy bowling fast and it means a lot to be the world’s fastest bowler. Only if I am unable to go at 150 that I will think of a plan B,” said Lee, who has had his share of injuries.

“This is going to be a tough tour. We will play the Champions League and then focus on the one-dayers. Twenty20 is tough for a fast bowler but is also very exciting. As for the series against India, it is always huge and exciting,” he said.

“I have worked on my fitness and still have the hunger at 30. I have the fire in my belly and if I am able to bowl at the speed I am bowling, then everything is fine right now,” said Lee, who was looking forward to his team’s opening match against South African-side Diamond Eagles on Friday.
