Karate kids do India proud

Indian Olympic Association president Suresh Kalmadi felicitated the winners, participants and the trainers who helped India win 26 medals in the recently-concluded Commonwealth Championships in Johannesburg and the World Gojukai World Championships that followed in Cape Town, South Africa.

Eighty one karatekas participated in these tournaments and were led by Kyoshi Vispy Kapadia. Over 120 countries participated in the World championships. Vispy termed the achievement as ‘unparallel.”
