Avid followers of the popular Sab TV show 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' agree that Nattu Kaka aka Ghanshyam Nayak is one of the most favourite characters in the show.

And the good news is that he is back to shooting again after 9 months. The veteran actor, who had to stay away from the show, first owing to the pandemic and then his surgery has finally shot after a long gap.

In an interview with ETimes TV, the actor shared his excitement about returning to the show and Dilip Joshi aka Jethalal's reaction upon seeing him.

He said, "My health is absolutely fine. I have started shooting for Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. I had shot for the show last on 16th March and now I started shooting for it from December 16th exact post 9 months. Yes, my track has been brought back and the episode will be aired in a day or two. When the shooting began after the lockdown there was a law that restricted older actors beyond the age of 60 to shoot. Then I had to undergo major surgery. The operation was successful and now health is good." 

Talking about the scene he most recently shot for the show, Ghanshyam Nayak said, "I have shot with Jethalal and Bagga a phone cut scene. It went quite well and everyone was very happy. I was also very excited as I got to shoot for it after 9 months. I feel extremely happy and fresh and I am looking forward to more scenes of mine."

In addition to this, he also shared Dilip Joshi aka Jethalal's reaction after seeing him, and said, "Dilip Joshi ji was so happy seeing me on the sets. He told me you were the life of the show and I am glad you are back. The entire unit is very happy and I also love them very much. During this break wherever I went to a temple or a shop, fans of the show would request me to return to the show. I am happy that it has happened." 

"My last wish is to work till the last breath of my life for Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. I want to take my last breath on Taarak Mehta sets with makeup on. This is my last wish," he concluded.
