Anas Saiyad and Sana Khan who are currently honeymooning in Kashmir tied the knot on November 24.
Former actress Sana Khan's husband Anas Saiyad on Friday denied having any involvement in the ex-Bigg Boss contestant's decision to quit showbiz.
In a recent interview, Saiyad stated that he 'never forced' Sana to lead her life in a certain way. He also mentioned that Sana always wanted to detach herelf from what she was doing and that he was shocked when the former actress announced she was quitting the industry.
In an interaction with Times of India, Anas Saiyad said, "I have never forced her to lead life in a certain way. She announced on Instagram around six months ago that she has taken hijab. People thought that it's because of the pandemic and no work, but she always wanted to detach herself from what she was doing. I wanted her to give it some time, but she was certain. In fact, I was shocked, too, when she announced that she was quitting the industry."
Speaking about his marriage with Sana, Saiyad said that he prayed to get married to her and that he believes he wouldn't have been this happier had he married someone else. He added that people could think whatever they want and call them a mismatched couple, but, he said, only the two of them knew how compatible they were.
Saiyad told the publication, "I prayed to God that I want to marry Sana and he heard my prayers. I feel that I wouldn't have been this happy if I had married anybody else. Sana is not full of herself. She is affable, forgiving and has a clean heart. I always wanted a girl who complemented and completed me. People still ask me how I got married to an actress, but yeh chhoti soch ke log hain (they are narrow-minded people). It's my life and no one should comment on it. People are free to think that we are a mismatched couple, but only we know how compatible we are."
Earlier, a few days before her wedding, Sana had announced on social media that she has decided to quit the showbiz industry and wishes to spend her life serving humanity and following the orders of her 'creator'.
For the unversed, Sana has been part of several films including 'Wajah Tum Ho', 'Jai Ho' among others. She has been a part of television reality shows on like 'Bigg Boss6', 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7', 'Comedy Nights Bachao', 'Entertainment Ki Raat' and 'Kitchen Champion'.
