A video has surfaced showing Manorama Khedkar, mother of trainee IAS officer Puja Khedkar, allegedly threatening farmers with a pistol in Mulshi tehsil, Pune. The incident, which reportedly took place in 2023, has caused a stir online.
The Khedkar family owns properties across Maharashtra and had recently purchased 25 acres of land in Mulshi. However, part of this land is claimed to overlap with land belonging to neighbouring farmers. When the farmers protested, Manorama Khedkar arrived at the scene with a bouncer and allegedly threatened them.
In the video, Manorama insists that the disputed land is legally hers, citing the 'Saat-Baara-Utara,' a document used by the state’s revenue department for tax purposes, which she claims is in her name. Despite a farmer's reminder that the issue is currently being contested in court, Manorama adamantly declares that she will not be intimidated and insists on her ownership.
