One of the leading producers and directors in the contemporary time, Karan Johar is somebody whi us on the bucket list to work with, for almost every actor and actress in the tinsel town. Even newcomers dream of kick-starting their career with a Dharma Productions film, and taking it off from there. One such actor who is finally going to work with the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai director is Padmaavat actor Ranveer Singh.

Yes, you read that right!

The noted filmmaker has reportedly locked in his next directorial venture that will star Ranveer. Commenting on the same, a source close to the project, told Bollywood Hungama, “Yes, Karan sir has finally zeroed on a script that he will direct, which will see him return behind the camera after the last big screen outing in 2016 with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. In fact, he is looking to go on floors with the project in the start 2019 itself.” 

As reported by the website, when prodded for details on the story and cast, the source went on to add, “The film will be a two hero film and Karan has already locked Ranveer Singh to play one of the leads. Currently the casting for the second lead is on and once done, the rest of the details will also fall into place.”

Even though we don't know who the other lead is we are excited to know that Karan and Ranveer - two power houses of energy, are all set to work together! Given both Karan Johar and Ranveer Singh’s past big screen outings, it will surely be interesting to see Ranveer on the silver screen being directed by KJo.

At the moment, Ranveer Singh will be seen next in Rohit Shetty's Simmba opposite Sara Ali Khan. The film is slated to release on December 28.

The actor will also be seen in Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy with Alia Bhatt and in Kabir Khan's '83.
