An American couple, obsessed with Apple products, has tied the knot inside the technology giant's store in New York.

Josh and Ting Li became man and wife at the city's Apple store on Fifth Avenue on Valentine's Day in a ceremony filled with the company's products.

The pair met in the Apple store and decided to make it their wedding altar and even had their priest dressed as the company's chief executive Steve Jobs.

Besides reading their vows from their iPhones, they had their rings tied to a ribbon wrapped around a first generation iPod.

"We got to know each other because Ting was looking to buy an iPod...and I managed to strike up a conversation that way," The Telegraph quoted Josh as telling Entertainment Weekly.

"I used to joke that the Apple Store is my church because I am not religious, and I loved everything Apple. Ting then came up with the idea of having the wedding there," Josh added.

Apple did not officially sanction the event, according to a blog on its retail stores, but staff "did not interfere".
