On Monday late night, one more complaint was lodged with the Ramol Police Station against a person for bursting firecrackers during non-permissible hours in the Ramol area of the city. 

The accused has been identified as Jeetu Panchal, 27, a resident of Vastral area. As per police, Panchal was caught by cops near Ratanpura Shivalik Bungalows at around 11.45 pm for bursting crackers on the road. A police team were on night patrol nearby and saw him. He was arrested immediately. Later on Tuesday morning, he was released on bail. 

This is the third case which was lodged by city police, for violating notification of police commissioner over the bursting of firecrackers. On November 3, two men identified as Baldev Patel and Vishu Zala were nabbed by Amraiwadi Police for bursting firecrackers in a dangerous manner and were booked under IPC 188 and GP Act section 131. 

On October 30, 2018, the Supreme Court gave the state government flexibility to choose the timing for the bursting of firecrackers. The two time slots were fixed at, from 8 pm to 10 pm during Diwali and between 11.45pm to 12.30pm on other occasions such as Christmas and New Year.
