Apart from films, these 4 sources of income pay Shah Rukh Khan's bills

It is no revelation that King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan is one of the wealthy people in the country. 

The baadshah, sometime back, was in fact was making it to the headlines for having been named as the second richest actor in the world.

Yes, you read that right! The Zero actor enjoys substantial fortune, but that just doesn't come from films.

The actor pays his bills, buys cars, enjoys vacations and indulges in all things heavenly with the help of money that is earned from several otehr avenues.

Here, take a look at the different sources of income of Shah Rukh Khan.

FILMS: Besides charging for his role in a film, Shah Rukh demands a share in the profit of the project. The acyor is at a stage today where he can demand a much bigger percentage of the profit share from films. He is also among the first few actors in Bollywood to have started this trend.

ENDORSEMENTS: Several celebrities in the country, including Shah Rukh Khan, earn more from brand-endorsements than films. The actor is the king of the advertisement world and has several big brands in his kitty. From endorsing cold drinks to talcum powder, cars to fairness creams, no one can beat Shah Rukh Khan in the advertisement world. 

PERFORMING AT WEDDINGS: Weddings are a business in itself. The rich Indian community, including that of industrialists and politicians splurge on weddings, and that amounts to more that a few hundred crores (rupees).

Several celebs perform at such functions, and while some of the top celebrities may have their reservations about attending weddings (Aamir Khan and Saif Ali Khan don’t like to 
perform), SRK has no qualms about performing at weddings.

But to get SRK, one needs to pay a premium. Its believed that King Khan charges about USD 15k to 20k for an appearance and close to Rs 10 crores for a wedding 
performance! Well, that’s quite some money for probably an hour’s work! SRK does around 10 such performances in a year, which easily sums up to around Rs 100 crores a year.

OTHER INVESTMENTS: Apart from all this, the business-savvy Shah Rukh Khan owns properties around the world. He also owns a production house Red Chilli Entertainment, and an IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders. 

SRK has also invested in Imagination Edutainment India Pvt Ltd, which is a local franchisee of KidZania, a global chain of indoor theme parks for children. This Mexican edutainment aims at opening theme parks across the country.

TV SHOWS: Shah Rukh Khan is the boss on small screen as well. The actor is open to, and has in the past, hosted television shows.

The actor who started his career with TV soap Fauji and Circus, has hosted reality shows including, Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 3, Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain? 
and Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout. 

With so many sources of income, no doubt Shah Rukh Khan is among the highest earning celebrities, not just in India, but in the world.
