According to reports, Prabhas' Salaar will clash with Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki on Christmas.
Prabhas’ much-awaited film Salaar was earlier scheduled to be released on September 28 but was postponed due to some technical problems. Now, if the reports are to be believed, the makers are planning to release the film on Christmas which is already booked for Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki.
On Monday, trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Instagram and shared a big update about Prabhas’ Salaar. According to him, Prabhas’ movie is set to clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki on Christmas. Taran Adarsh wrote, “Yes, It’s true... SRK vs Prabhas, 'Dunki' VS 'Salaar' this Christmas..”
He added, “The exhibitors have received a mail stating that #Salaar will arrive THIS CHRISTMAS [on 22 Dec 2023]... An official announcement by the producers, #HombaleFilms, will be made on Friday [29 Sept 2023]. This is the second time #HombaleFilms is clashing with #SRK... In 2018 [#Christmas], it was #Zero vs #KGF [first part].” SRK had already blocked #Christmas [22 Dec 2023] for #Dunki... And now #Prabhas also stakes claim on 22 Dec 2023.”
Earlier too, Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero clashed with Yash’s KGF in 2018 which was also produced by Hombale Films. KGF went on to be a huge hit, however, SRK’s film which also starrer Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma didn’t do quite well at the box office.
Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki marks his first-ever collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani and also stars Taapsee Pannu. Earlier, there were reports that Dunki had been postponed, however, during the successful meeting of Jawan, the actor confirmed that the movie will be released on Christmas.
Prabhas’ Salaar is helmed by Prashanth Neel and also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, and Meenakshi Chaudhary along with others in key roles. The makers are yet to make an official announcement about the new release date of the film and fans can't wait for the much-anticipated movie.
