Ishq Vishk Rebound, the spiritual sequel to the 2003 sleeper hit Ishq Vishk, was released in the theatres on June 21. The film starred Rohit Saraf, Pashmina Roshan, Jibraan Khan and Naila Grrewal in the leading roles. The romantic drama has failed to leave a mark at the box office as it couldn't even collect Rs 5 crore in its opening week, as per the entertainment tracking portal Sacnilk.
In a recent interview, Rohit opened up on the film's middling reviews and dismal box office performance. Talking to News18, the actor said, "When I talk about the film, some people like it and some people don’t necessarily like it that much. I feel like that’s only fair because everyone has their preferred genres. I also very strongly believe that the people that we made it for, which was today’s generation, when they are going and watching it, they are actually enjoying it. I absolutely respect people who don’t because eventually, everyone’s entitled to their opinion, and if somebody doesn’t like something, it’s fine. It’s not every person is going to like what you do. I really hope that I’m able to do a project in future where I can make them also happy. It actually drives me even more when I see somebody who says that they didn’t like this. Eventually, as actors, we want the audience to like us."
