Elango Pandarinathan is the Managing Director (MD) of Hindustan Oil Exploration Company (HOEC), which deals in oil and gas exploration. The company has a market capitalisation of Rs 2283 crore as of September 29, 2023. The share of the HOEC on NSE was Rs 172.55 on that date. Pandarinathan has over 30 years in the upstream oil and gas sector. He has held several leadership roles in different areas of the business. He is a recognized leader in the Indian industry.

He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA, Marketing) from Annamalai University. He completed his graduation in Arts from Madras Christian College. Pandarinathan began his career with government-owned ONGC in 1985. He worked there for 10 years. 

Elango joined HOEC in 2015 as a promoter. Before joining HOEC, he was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Whole Time Director of Cairn India Limited for five years. Over his long association with Cairn, he played a key role in building Cairn into a leading oil and gas company. He worked for five years in the company from May 2009 - April 2014. 

Hindustan Oil Exploration Company Ltd. engages in the field of oil and gas exploration. The Company has a participating interest in nine oil/gas fields in India. Incorporated in the year 1983, Hindustan Oil Exploration Company Ltd. is based in Vadodara.
