Despite receiving backing from Director of Cricket Sourav Ganguly, the report suggests that DC may not retain Pant in the upcoming mega auction.

If Pant is indeed released by DC, the report indicates that his probable destination would be Chennai Super Kings. With the impending retirement of MS Dhoni, CSK is actively seeking an Indian wicket-keeper batsman, making Pant an attractive prospect for the team.
