UPSC is one of the toughest exams to crack to become an Indian IAS officer. To pass the civil service exam, a person studies religiously for several hours. Every year, thousands of candidates seek to take the exam to become IAS, IFS, IPS, and IRS. Only a few number of them succeed in the most competitive exam. Today we will talk about IAS Preeti Beniwal who overcame all obstacles to accomplish their goals.

Preeti hails from Dupedi, Haryana and went to a private school in the nearby village of Fafdana. Preeti successfully completed class 10 with good scores, as her father's employment at the Panipat Thermal Plant. She attended Matlauda for her 12th grade and then graduated from Israna College with honours in both B.Tech and M.Tech.

Preeti has consistently achieved top grades in every class since childhood. Preeti's mother, Babita, worked at an Anganwadi nearby. Following the completion of her MTech, Preeti was hired as a clerk by Grameen Bank in 2013. She worked at Bahadurgarh from 2013 to 2016.

A year later, in 2016, she was selected for the FCI's Assistant General II position, which he held in Karnal from 2016 to January 2021.  For the job of Assistant Section Officer at the Ministry of External Affairs, she was chosen in January 2021. She allegedly began working for the Delhi Ministry of External Affairs in 2021.

Preeti was scheduled to sit for an exam in Ghaziabad for departmental promotion at FCI in December 2016 when she met with a train accident. At the Ghaziabad train station, she unexpectedly fell, leading her to tumble in front of the train. Three train cars ran over the body in this tragic accident. She had to undergo 14 surgeries and was bedridden for over a year.

Her marriage fell apart as a result of the horrible tragedy since both her husband and her in-laws left her. However, her determination to fulfill her childhood dream of becoming an IAS officer kept her alive. Preeti then decided to prepare for the UPSC test, which she eventually cleared after two failed attempts. She did not take any coaching for her UPSC preparation and only used study materials from coaching institutes available on YouTube and Telegram. Preeti secured 754 AIR in 2020 after being genuinely motivated by her father Suresh Kumar.
