Who is IAS Varun Baranwal?
Varun Baranwal, an IAS officer who is from the small Maharashtra village of Boisar in the Palghar district, had always dreamed of becoming a doctor. Varun's father ran a small bicycle repair shop and was a bicycle mechanic. His father worked very hard to ensure that his children received a good education.
Varun's family relied only on earnings from his father's bicycle repair shop. Varun decided to handle the shop and look after his family after his father passed away. Varun Baranwal had however excelled academically in the 10th exam despite everything. Later, Varun's mother took over the business and gave him the order to finish school. He couldn't enroll in class 11 since he lacked the necessary funds.
Fortunately, the doctor who provided medical care for his father decided to fund his studies and offered Rs 10,000 immediately. After completing his studies, Varun decided to continue his interest, thus he joined medical school. He chose to concentrate on engineering because studying medicine would have been expensive.
Varun worked really hard throughout the first year of his engineering career to obtain a scholarship from the school after being accepted into MIT College Pune. His engineering coursework was completed thanks to a school scholarship.
After receiving his engineering degree, he was hired by an MNC. Varun's family urged him to continue working for the MNC, but he opted to work for the government. He received assistance from NGOs, who provided him with reading material to help him prepare for the test. Thanks to everyone's help, he managed to clear the exam and got appointed an IAS officer.
He was able to fulfill his dream of becoming an IAS officer owing to his supporters. Baranwal finished the UPSC CSE 2016 test with an AIR 32 and was given the position an IAS officer because he saw his lack of wealth as a lesson.
