Anil Kapoor soon on TV?

Actor Anil Kapoor’s stints in Hollywood are showing promising signs for his daughter Sonam.

Anil told DNA that Hollywood actor Ben Stiller was very impressed with Sonam’s pictures and said that she definitely has international appeal and that she should try her luck in films there. But Anil says that Sonam wants to establish her feet firmly in Bollywood before shifting her attention to a different industry altogether.

Ask Anil if he would want his daughters to get married and settle down at an early age like he did, and the proud father says that he would leave that decision entirely up to his daughters. But quiz him as to which actor he thinks Sonam makes an ideal pair with on-screen and he shoots, “I’d say that the best pairing hasn’t happened yet.”

Meanwhile Anil is enjoying his stint in one of Hollywood’s top watched shows 24.

The jhakaas actor says that he’s recognised as President Omar Hassan from the show by people across the world these days. Anil has now realised the power of television and after his back-to-back stints in Hollywood — Slumdog Millionaire and now 24, the actor has also come to terms with the reach of Hollywood.

Ask Anil if he will now contemplate doing a desi television show and he quips, “Indian TV is still at a very raw stage. If I have to do something here, I will have to produce it myself. And talks are on for that…” he ends.
