Many actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Ram Charan, Prabhas, and others have created another benchmark at the box office as their films crossed over Rs 1000-crore mark. However, there is one star, who has no flops and only blockbusters in his name.

The star we are talking about is not an actor, but a filmmaker. The first name that comes to mind is SS Rajamouli or Rajkumar Hirani, however, we are talking about the filmmaker who has given back-to-back blockbusters. He is none other than Prashanth Neel.

Prashanth Neel hails from Neelakantapuram village, near Madakasira, Andhra Pradesh, and settled in Bengaluru, Karnataka. In an interview, the filmmaker said he took to filmmaking initially for the need of money, however, later he completed a course in the same, eventually developing an interest in it.

Prashanth Neel made his directorial debut with Kannada film Ugramm which starred his brother-in-law and actor Srimurali. The film turned out to be a massive success at the box office and one of the highest-grossing Kannada films of 2014. The filmmaker then made KGF starring Yash in the role of Rocky, an orphan who becomes a don, and then the film emerged as a blockbuster and collected Rs 238 crore worldwide.

After this, continuing his streak of blockbusters, Prashanth Neel directed KGF 2 which broke several box office records and collected Rs 1215 crore worldwide. Prashanth's next film, Salaar: Part 1-Ceasefire starring Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Shruti Haasan along with others in key roles. The film marked Prabhas' successful comeback after a string of flops. The film collected Rs 617 crore worldwide. If we calculate the collection of all his films, it goes beyond Rs 2000 crore.

Prashanth Neel once revealed in an interview that he consumes alcohol to write stories and said, "Yes, I often consume alcohol to pen down my stories. If I get the same high even when I am intoxicated, that is when I conclude that this particular scene has what it takes."

Meanwhile, Prashanth Neel is celebrating his 44th birthday today. The filmmaker is now gearing up for his next film, Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam. The fans are excited for the second part after the massive success of part one.
