Sheena Bora and Rahul Mukerjea planned to get married in 2012, claims close friend

A key source who informed the Mumbai police about Indrani Mukerjea and Sheena Bora being mother and daughter has now said that Sheena and Rahul Mukerjea had plans to get married, reports The Hindustan Times. The source was a close friend of Bora, says the report.  He said that they were planning to tie the knot in November.

The source said that Indrani cared about her social standing and was possibly worried that Sheena's marriage to Rahul could end up revealing their relationship as mother and daughter. “Indrani was very particular about matters like her social status and thought Sheena’s marriage plans could cause her embarrassment," he said.

The source added that while Sheena had spoken about her mother's disapproval of her relationship with Rahul with them, she had not mentioned whether she told her mom about their marriage plans.

About Sheena's close ones action following her disappearance

The source said that Rahul was very worried after Sheena's 'a disappearance and intended to file a police case but gave up on finding her. "Later he just seemed to give up after there was no news of her,” the source added.

The friend says that he and Sheena's other close friends had gone to Guwahati to visit her at the Sundarpur home. But her brother Mikhail told them that she had gone to US for studies.

The source also added that he had reservations about Mikhail's role in the entire incident.

He said that he was able to speak to Mikhail's grandmother Durga Rani Bora and claims that she alleged that Mikhail mistreat her and her husband  Upendra Kumar Bora.
