Author of 8 books of poetry, Sonnet Mondal has read his poems as an invited poet at prestigious international festivals across the world including Struga Poetry Evenings, Macedonia, Istanbul International Poetry Festival, Turkey and Cork International Poetry Festival, Ireland among others. He was recently a guest writer in residence at the Almaty Writing Residency, Kazakhstan and a guest poet the Genoa International Poetry Festival. He has been invited to read this year at the 34th Medellin International Poetry Festival, Colombia and Ars Poetica Festival, Slovakia. His recent books include An Afternoon in My Mind and Karmic Chanting published by Copper Coin, New Delhi. 

Earlier this year his book in Hindi translation Lautati Dopaharen was published by Rajkamal Prakashan and his book in Marathi translation was published by Copper Coin in association with the Raza Foundation.
